Rolex collectors would have learned about the special California Dial introduced by Rolex (including Tudor) in its early years.
The California Dial is rather special in that, there are three (3) different types of hour markers on a single Rolex dial; namely, the Roman index (I, II, X, XI, XII), Arabic (4, 5, 7, 8) and bars (at 3, 6 & 9 o'clock position).
This piece of Rolex Oyster dated back to 1940s with handwinding movement. Above the 6 o'clock signed Precision.
